Ok, so the guy I really like.... He never acts the same around me.

When he's around me and my friends.... especially in Social Studies... He'll playfully growl at me and make faces at my best friend who sits behind me. And he'll talk to me, and glance at me every so often.

... but, around the popular girls, and the preps... he'll completely ignore me, or maybe talk a little, but not much.

I told my friend, who is a popular girl, and she goes over and talks to him and asks him my question.
He answers that he only wants me as a friend, and doesn't want my feelings hurt.

This makes no sense what so ever to me.

He has a girlfriend, and when I asked my cousin over the phone, he said that he's probably covering up his feelings, and that he may be split between me and his girlfriend, whom he pays no attention to, and they never ever talk!

Please help!
